Intern – Multimodal Sensing – Cambridge, MA - 2021-
Are you interested in an Intern opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing (or have recently completed) an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 3-6-month paid intern/co-op opportunities at our sites across the US. Through these roles you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in engineering for a HealthTech company.

Our team in Cambridge is developing intelligent, multimodal contactless monitoring solutions to assess the health status of individuals. You will help expand and improve our solutions to tackle practical challenges, by exploring state-of-the-art computer vision, signal processing and machine learning technologies. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Education: enrolled in BSc, or MSc/PhD graduate student in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics or Computer Science.
Background:
- Familiar with video processing, robot vision, audio processing, or image processing.
- Familiar with continuous biomedical signals: heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature and some signal processing techniques
- Familiar with sensors for biomedical signal acquisition (experience with multi-sensor fusion is preferred)
- Familiar with statistical analysis techniques
- Familiar with hands-on work in experimental settings
- Good problem-solving skills and creativity
Programming Languages: Proficient in different programming languages such as Python/C/C++/C#.
